Ibsen: Iconic Scenes – theater in English
samedi 18 mars 2023 10h00 – 14h00 CET
Niveau
Tous niveaux (théâtre) – Intermédiaires à bilingue (anglais)Description
Taught by Hannah Coyle and Hope Newhouse
It’s rematch time! After Hope insisted on delving into Chekhov’s iconic scenes last year, Hannah demanded Henrik Ibsen be equally honored. If you missed our heated theatrical debate, you are nonetheless invited to discover (and even enjoy!) Ibsen on his merits.
Norwegian playwright of the 19th century, whose plays were often scathing commentaries on the morals of society, Ibsen was one of the founders of modernism in theater and one of the most influential playwrights of his time. His famous plays include Peer Gynt, A Doll’s House, Hedda Gabler, An Enemy of the People and many more! We will have an opportunity to study and act scenes from his well-known and less known dramas. And whichever way you come down on the great Chekhov/Ibsen showdown, you are welcome at this workshop!
Actors of all levels welcome – including beginners! English level – intermediate to bilingual.
Snacks are included!
Cancelation policy
Workshops are refundable if canceled more than 24 hours in advance, otherwise full amount is due.
