Shakespeare’s Villains – theater in English

“O villain, villain, smiling, damned villain!”

Claudius, Richard III, Iago, Lady Macbeth – Shakespeare’s most memorable characters were not all noble princes and star-crossed lovers. The evil characters populating the Shakespearean page and stage are just as compelling as the heroes they seek to destroy. Through character analysis and text exploration we will bring to life some of the Bard’s most sinister, intelligent, and brutal figures. Not sure how to make sense of Shakespeare’s words? How do you pronounce it? What does it mean? Don’t worry we will cover that too! Do not be afeared…hie thee to sign up!

This workshop was a big success last year and Hannah and Hope are still ever so obsessed with Shakespeare, so we are delighted to offer it again with new (terrible as ever) villains!

Actors of all levels welcome! English level – intermediate to bilingual.
