Discover Improv Theatre (In English!)

Improvisational theatre is more or less what it sounds like: drama and comedy created on the spur of the moment. It’s a highly personal and challenging art form; the skills used in improv – or impro – are an essential asset to anyone, actor or non-actor.

2 Discovery classes:

– FRIDAY 26th of JUNE from 8pm – 10.30pm
or
– FRIDAY 3rd of JULY from 8pm – 10.30pm

You can come ONCE or TWICE – both improv trial classes are different.

Cost: 30€ per class

Please note that our classes in English are designed to improve your improvisational theatre skills – NOT your language skills. It’s not a problem if English is not your mother tongue. But you do need to be able to speak fluently.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

Discover Improv Theatre (In English!)

We’ll build a solid foundation by exercising and developing the basic improvisation skills:

• Spontaneity – Acting on impulse
• Listening – Paying attention to your partner
• Accepting – Yes!
• Creativity – Using your imagination
• Energy – 3-2-1-GO!

And then use these skills to create theatre – drama and comedy. We’ll practise:

• Collaborative storytelling – Improvising stories together

• Initiating scenes – How do you start?

• Scene development – What comes next?

• Physical theatre – How to be playful with my body?
